Vent Space Project Room & Taliinn Photo Month, Tallinn, Estonia

In my first solo show, I considered how and where racist language became camouflaged within the city. The exhibition drew attention to the contemporary phenomenon of the NGR/S/Z series of graffiti, present throughout Tallinn. Walking around as a Black, queer-identified individual, I was deeply affected by these. Reactive and self-reflective, the works veered from research-informed to quotidian in their interventions into Tallinn’s racialized public space.
