Words My work centers on belonging. As someone who lives between multiple identities, I am forced to observe cultural structures from their peripheries. My art is an attempt to build a web around the outside for myself and the marginalized others who find themselves there. In both my life and work, I seek to further explore the potential of the queer family and home, the ways identity impacts comfort, and the power dynamics around honesty.
Through weaving together various elements of my practice - photography, video, and text - and occasionally leaving each alone, I learn about and reflect upon how myself and those around me construct desire.
